Backtrack barrage

Tuesday, July 26, 2011

Hi there! ^_^ Wow, my last post was...MARCH?! Goodness, the months suddenly flew by so fast! Hubby and I are on our seventh month together now. =)

So here I am, drafting posts for upload like crazy. Boy, do I have so many stories to tell. I've tried cooking a number of dishes over the past few months (came up with or tricked up some, too). Last May, hubby and I finally pushed through with our Palawan trip (Baker's Hill hopia!), and just the other week, I attended my first ever cooking class. So just before I encounter more stuff to blog about, I must get all this up.

Watch out for new posts very soon. ^_^

First post of the year

Friday, January 28, 2011

29 JANUARY 2011. Happy New Year! OK, so that's really late. =)

Although I do admit I haven't really kept my blog up-to-date, I feel bad that my last post was more than a month ago. A lot has happened over the past few weeks since I last said anything here. For one, I'm happily married! I officially became my former hubby-to-be's "Mrs." just last Christmas Eve. ^_^

Adonis & Karen Sue

Beginner's Bible was at first intended to follow my kitchen journey as a novice home-cook prior to the wedding. But now, even after I transitioned into my new life, I find myself still feeling like a beginner in the kitchen. Sure, I know what to pick up now and I don't feel lost among our kitchen cupboards, the supermarket shelves or at the palengke. I can come up with Weekday Cheap Shots on a daily basis (if I'm not too sleepy for it). But the kitchen is such an exciting place to take a journey in, where so many lovely moments are shared and much love comes out on a plate of food.

So I'm keeping Beginner's Bible on. Ngayon pa, may official tagabalat, tagahiwa at tagahugas na ako. Hahaha!

My now official taga-everything in action!

And, hey, what's our new Acer Timeline X (running on Intel Core i5) here for, right? ^_^

So ridiculously busy...

Friday, November 19, 2010

19 NOVEMBER 2010. Haven't been able to cook lately. I've also promised to start an ode page to my favorite foods and restaurants, but that hasn't materialized either. =(

And it's just not because of the wedding preps.

Mom and dad had relaunched their cake and empanada business last month, which is doing really good. I'm happy with the response we're getting. We don't seem to run out of orders. But it has its downside, of course. Because apart from conducting wedding supplier transactions, attending to wedding-related prep tasks like guest list update, addressing the invitations, sorting the souvenirs, food-tasting, program planning, church briefing, canonical interview, pre-marriage seminar and visiting suppliers, there's order taking and confirmation, production planning, occasional raw materials purchasing, box assembly, product sorting and packaging, final inspection and confirmation, and delivery. I also do the payment collection and keep my own spreadsheets.

Waaah, alas-dose na! Hindi pa matapos-tapos!

This is more of an apology post. I'll make something more decent later on. I'm sure Danes will remind me to one of these days...

Please visit our wedsite on MyWedding.com and RAKSS Enterprises on FB! (both of which are a lot more updated than this, hahaha!)
